Sleepin' under my food dish

This is how my mommy found me one night this week.  She still can't figure out why I am sleeping under my pool and now, under my food dish.  I guess I'm just a silly girl.  Luve Ursulla

My mommy thinks I'm sassy

That's what she says, that I'm bein' sassy.  The last few days when she and daddy have gotten home, my cage is in a state.  I have been burrowing in all sorts of strange places like under my pool, which makes all the water spill out, under my food dish, which makes all my food fall out and on the side of my little hut, which makes it all crooked and crazy.  Who said little turtles like me don't have to clean up their room?  Luve you always - Ursulla

My Sunday Routine

First:  Mommy gives me my bath.  This time she put me in the bathroom sink and that was lots better.  It's smaller and I don't feel like I am going to get sucked down the drain.  I swam around for a bit and got all clean.

Second:  Mommy waxes my shell.  Mommy thinks that it probably feels really good.  She is tender and rub the wax all over me.

Third:  I get to run around for hours before they but me back in my little room.

Bath Time

Sundays are the day that my mommy gets me all clean, waxes my shell and lets me roam around all day.  She tried the bath time again.  This time I was already out of my shell, so she put me in the water.  I didn't really like it.  I kept trying to crawl out, but would just slide back down into the water.  A couple of time my little head went under and I blew little bubbles.  My mommy made sure that I got water all over me, then got me out and waxed my shell.  I just laid there.  I heard mommy say something about she thought she killed me, but I was fine, just like relaxing while I get waxed.  Now I am just cruising around checking things out.  Mommy said that I am the most active she has ever seen me.  Luve u  - Ursulla Jane (my middle name)

These are the seeds that my mommy and daddy bought for me today.  They are going to try and grow these this winter for me.  Yippee, I am a lucky girl - Ursulla

My first bath

Today mommy tried to give me my first bath.  E at Wee Fishe told her to just stick me in some water that will make me stretch my neck out as far as it can go so that I can get all clean.  So mommy put me in the water, but I didn't want to come out of my shell, so mommy got scared and didn't want to just let the water go over my shell and drown me, so after a few minutes, she took me out.  Then she shined my shell with the vitamin rub, which feels really nice cuz' she rubs it all over my shell.  After all that I got to hang out in my room.  I cruised around for a bit, then I went behind some pillows and mommy lost track of me for a bit.  She sounded a little nervous until she found me.  There's not much in that room, so I couldn't have gone far.  My mommy and daddy caught me walkin' around at one point, but I am pretty shy so whenever they see me I "freeze" 'til they go away and let me play.  It's been a good Sunday.  Luve always - Ursulla

PS Mommy said that she asked again at Wee Fishe about my bath.  They told her just put me in, I will come out of my shell and I won't drown.  They told her just leave me in for about 10, but no more than, 15 minutes.  It's good for me to be clean and helps me go potty.  Guess they'll be no avoidng my bath next Sunday.

Crawlin' around my room

When I get time to cruise around my room, I like to go to a corner and walk into it.  At one point I was trying to climb the wall, but my mommy didn't get the camera in time.  Luve, luve you - Ursulla

Lazy Days

I've been having some lazy days.  My daddy watched me swimming in my pool the other day, then I burrowed under the wood chips, stuck my neck out real far and relaxed. My mommy hasn't seen me swimming yet, I am kind of shy.  This morning I was out moving around, but for the most part I like to burrow under my wood chips.  Luve Ursella

Cruisin' my new room

This is me, I am a little shy sometimes, I am still getting used to my new mommy and daddy.  Today they set up my new room, I have a really big room to roam around in.  I did for a bit, after I came out of my shell.  They set up my mobile room right in front of the window.  Then soon they are going to start growing me a garden that I will eat from.  For my meals today I had a blueberry, a raspberry, a strawberry and some kale.  I haven't ate it all yet, but what I did sure was yummy!  Mommy also gave me a massauge today.  Once a week I get my shell waxed after my bath.  It feels good and I am all shiney and smooth once mommy is done.  Mommy and daddy said that I am going to stay here this week.  Mommy only has students one day this week, so they decided to keep me home until next week, then I will live at school during the week and here on the weekends.  Luve u - Ursulla

Gettin' out for a bit

To night my mommy got me out and let me walk around a bit.  I am a little faster than she thought, the nice guys at Wee Fishe told her to watch out for that.  I like to walk right for places to hide.  Then my mommy put me up high to show my daddy how I walk around and I almost went right over the edge, lucky my mommy got hold of me just before.  I hope they let me walk around everyday.  Luve - Ursulla

Welcomed to my new home

Hi, my name is Ursulla and tonight I was adopted by the fish people.  They seem very excited to have me as a part of there family.  They tell me that soon I will go to school with mommy and that is were I will stay for several months.  I will help her kiddos learn all about me, a three-toed box turtle, and they will help take care of me and give me lots of luve I am sure.
I have been a little nervous since I arrived here.  I came out of my shell and walked around once, but my new mommy and daddy were so happy to see me that I got scared and went back in my shell.  Maybe tomorrow I will come out more and my mommy and daddy will get a picture of me.  Luve - Ursulla
